PCU (PROCESS CONTROL UNIT)

A Process Control Unit by definition is any group of master modules and I/O slaves that has a set loop communication modules (i.e. LIM/BIM, LIS/SBM, etc.). However, a PCU usually consists of an entire NETWORK 90 or INFI 90 cabinet containing power supplies, fans, modules and slaves. Each PCU much has its own unique address on the loop. Superloop and INFI-NET can have up to 250 PCU’s on one loop while Plant Loop may only have 63 PCU’s.
