NODE

A node is any group of mater modules and I/O slaves that has a set loop communication modules (i.e. LIM/BIM, LIS/SBM, etc.). Nodes area also referred to as DROPS. However, a PCU usually consists of an entire NETWORK 90 or INFI 90 cabinet containing power supplies, fans, modules and slaves. Each PCU must have its own unique address on the loop. Superloop and INFI-NET can have up to 250 PCU’s on one loop while Plant Loop may only have 63 PCU’s. A CIU, MCS or OIS are nodes because each contain a set of loop communication modules and have a unique address.
