INNPM12

Network Processing Module

The INNPM12 module acts as a translator between INFI-NET and Controlway. The INNPM12 module holds the process control unit database and directs the communication process between the modules residing on controlway and the INNIS01 or INNIS11 module. The INNPM12 module is a single printed circuit board that occupies the slot adjacent to the INNIS01 or INNIS11 module in the module mounting unit. The circuit board contains a microprocessor based communications circuitry that enables it to interface with the INNIS01 or INNIS11 module and all Controlway modules. The INNPM12 is a functional replacement for either the INNPM01 in INFINET or the INBIM02 in Plantloop. NOTE: The HCU interface made up of the INNIS01 module and INNPM12 module is fully compatible with existing INFI 90 OPEN systems using INFINET or Plant-Loop. The INNIS01 and INNPM12 modules operating in plant-loop mode are replacements for the INLIM03 Loop interface module and INBIM02 Bus Interface Module. A INNIS01 module and a INNPM12 module can operate as one half of a redundant pair with a INLIM03 and INBIM02.
