Communication Port Module

The NSPM01/IMCPM02 connects a single Process Control Unit (PCU) to a computer through an RS-232 interface. With the proper cable or modems, a computer can access the output and status information of any function block in the designated Process Control Unit, as well as change the operating mode (i.e. configure, execute) of any master module in that Process Control Unit. This Communication Port Module is the interface between the Configuration and Tuning Terminal (CTT02) and the INFI 90/NETWORK 90 system. A five pin receptacle on the modules front panel allows it to route power and communication signals to and from the system and the CTT02. With this card the CTT02 can monitor, tune, configure and conduct diagnostics on a single INFI 90/NETWORK 90 Process Control Unit (PCU).
