COMPUTER INTERFACE COMMAND

The CIC01 provides a host computer access to the Command Series and Infi 90 controller modules, which allows the host to perform process monitoring and control, system status monitoring, and process control unit configuration. The host interacts with the modules by issuing commands to the CIC01 and the CIC01 replies back to the host using information it gathers from Command Series modules. The CIC01 can be used with computers and workstations. A wide range of software can be used with the CIC01 including: PCV, EWS Text, CAD, Smartport and Ladder Logic. The CIC01 is capable of monitoring and controlling up to 500 points. It uses RS-232-C protocol to link Command Series and Infi 90 modules to the host. It also has built in self diagnostics that verify operation of the faceplate, module bus connections, the RS-232-C link, internal memory, the microprocessor, and the data and address bus. Four LED’s on the faceplate indicate the status of the system. A module bus connector on the faceplate allows interface with the Configuration and Tuning Terminal (CTT02/CTT12).
